A MOMent with Destiny R McGuire

Today I was able to meet with Destiny finally after we kept having to reschedule.

We meet at Edge Coffee House in Lake Worth.

I love the Coffee Shop as it is such a nice calming place to be

. Today was the day that Vanessa's group GirlFriends of Grace was meeting  so Destiny was going to attend it. As she is a Premier Rep.

I wanted to get to know Destiny  better as I see her own line and I knew we would become friends as I love the things she does and just the type of person she is.

Destiny  is a Single Mom which for part of Suzzanes life I was.  Destiny deals with Infant Loss which I have dealt with close hand as my nephew lost his first baby. Plus her niece is 4 and has battled Cancer like my mom.

Destiny's son is also  son  4. When she was sharing stories of him I could relate as so much of it sounded  like Charlie.  Plus you could just tell being his mom is the best thing she does. I could tell how much she loves him. She is a amazing mom.

One of the things I most admired about Destiny is here love for the Lord. You can just tell it when she talks to you. She is someone you would never get a funny look from if you hugged her or told her " you love" her as this is just the type of person she is. Which I totally loved as I am the same way.

I could have sat there all day and chatted with her and we have decided to meet again as I just touched on the service of things I would like to talk to her about.

Destiny sets up Quarter Auctions the second Thursday of every month for some non profit organizations which varies. Sometimes there will be two in a month if she finds a need for it. I liked finding out that this is now her business and knowing that it is booked through part of next year as it shows me there is a need for this type of thing.

I was even told people have asked about setting them up in there areas which I can understand why they would and I know where I live could use one as well. But seeing how busy it keeps Destiny shows me I would never have time to do this.

Not only does she do the Quarter Auctions and raises her son by herself she also does Premier Jewelry which you can tell she loves. As we talked about it some and I can tell you if I ever did a Party I would use Destiny as she loves her business. Plus she is good at it. Also if I chose to join it would be under her as I can tell you she cares not only about her reps as business owners but as people to and they become her friends and family.

While we where chatting she gave  me so many people to reach out to that will help me in my blogging and taught me that it is OK to get a "NO" but to not give up as God "Provides for those who believes in him."

I was amazed at all I was able to learn about her business such as they are in Irving and that they have a museum put together by the owners which I can not wait to check out. Once Destiny and I finished chatting for today I felt like I knew Andy and I can not wait to meet him. He has the biggest Bible collection and it is in his museum which I can not wait to take Charlie to see.

If you have ever thought of starting a business I hope you will check into Premier Jewelry as it is based in the US right her in Irving and they support the US but work with lots of Missions. You do not have to keep stock and there is no quotas. Unless your in leadership and it is a very easy amount to make. Plus you get 50% off what you sell and you get your money right up front you do not have to wait for a check to be mailed to you.

If you would like to check out Destiny's site you can at: destiny.premierdesigns.com
or check her out on Facebook at: destiny your favorite jewelry lady

Something about Destiny

I am a stay at home mother of a 4 year old little boy, named Jaz. An Anatolian Shepard mix named Indy, St. Bernard Mix named Tebow and a sweet kitty named Nova. I love working with the community and local non profits in my spare time, by organizing fundraisers and events to support their causes. I love what I do with Premier Designs- as we are a bibically based company that supports over 43 ministries in the nation, and I help women start their own profitable business every single day.

Alley Cats/ Put Putt

As a mom of a little boy you would think I would have taken Charlie to one of these but I never had. Although I have said many many times I should. So last night when it was raining and David was off I decided it was time. So I got Charlie ready and we ran out to Alley Cats as they was having a
Halloween Event put together by Hot Iron Prom and Robin Fuller.

I am so happy I went out as not only did I meet some Vendors but I found a new and fun place to host Charlies Birthday at. Since it is in November and the weather is always iffy it is hard to get a Bounce House for him. So with this I do not have to do anything as they help me set it up and clean up. So I could actually enjoy the party.

I like that there is a variety of packages I can chose from as they offer Put Putt, Bowling and also have the Video Games. I know with all the different things they carry that everyone we invite would have a lot of fun. If I hosted it on a Tuesday people could stay late and bowl as it is 1/2 off bowling which Charlie and David both love.

If you would like to check out the Birthday Packages you can at: http://alleycatsbowl.com/birthdays

Or how about in the Summer when the kids get bored how about enrolling them into the Summer Camp Alley Cats has? http://alleycatsbowl.com/summercamp13

So as you can see there is so much to do at Alley Cats from events to camps to Birthday Parties. If you can think of it I think they can accomdate it. As I found out they even had a Church meet there once.

I like knowing they have free Wi Fi and only one door for people to come in and out as I could work and Charlie could be a kid with out me following him around. If you have the time and you come out to visit Alley Cats I hope you take the time to meet the manager as he is so awesome.

I also hope you take the time to come out and visit one of the events Robin puts on as they are so much fun. You just never know who she will have at here events or even what will be happening at them .

Leslie is know a adult and it was her Birthday the other day and it is going to be Toby's on the second of November and I am thinking of getting them a game card as they both would have so much fun out here and it would be something she did not get.

Did you know Alley Cats Birthday is this year they opened in 1964 and will be 50 as well. Since it is mine and there Birthday to I think we should have a huge party. Anyone care to buy Alley Cats and me a Birthday Cake and a Game Card for me so I can play my favorite game???

Halloween Fun with Charlie

Halloween is not the way it was when I was a kid. Your parents would give you a grocery bag and it was pretty safe to walk every street and collect candy. You left as it barely got dark and stayed out for hours and hours. Then as you got older your parents let you go out by yourself with a group of friends.

When Suzzane was little it started to change and she could not do the things I did. I used to only take her to people I knew or the malls. She was never able to enjoy Halloween the way we did. She could not even dress up in school which stunk.

Now I have Charlie and it has gotten even worse and he can not even dress up at school. Plus I do not like taking him out to houses as you just do not know who you can or can not trust. So I normally look for Church events to take him to or the mall. But it can be so busy it is hard for Charlie to enjoy himself.

This year we had thought of taking him to Six Flags but it is so expensive and I was not sure if it would scare him. So we never event tried it. But may in the future. I just hate having to pay that much for one night of fun.

So when I was on Facebook and saw Hot Iron Promos with Robin Fuller was putting together a event at Alley Cats I knew Charlie would have a lot of fun. I just would need to find a way out there. Then God answered that Prayer by allowing it to rain and having David off for the event. I was so glad he did as I knew Charlie would love it.

So we ran out as I wanted to check out Alley Cats as a possible place to have Charlies Birthday plus as a place for him to have a safe Halloween.  Which he did. When we walked in I was amazed at all they had to do. Plus at how big it was. I liked knowing they had Put Put with it. As it made it like two things for him to do.

I let Charlie walk around by himself and did not worry about him at all last night. While he did this I went and visited the Vendors

Robin had setting up which was a lot of fun as I found some I had not meet before.
If you ever have the chance to visit Alley Cats or one of Robins events I hope you do.

Darcee Justiss Fletcher

Darcee works at Mr B's Burger Pup and is a mom and also works in a insurance agency. Plus she sells Jamberry Nails which if you have not tried out you should. As they are easy to use and fun. They make perfect stocking stuffers.

Plus Darcee sets events up at Mr B's Burger's for other Direct Sellers to showcase there products. I went out last week and was amazed at how well she did. She even had businesses I had not heard of. I liked knowing she is going to try and do it once a month. So if you hate shopping in Big Stores come and visit her events.

Here is some pictures I was able to snap so you can see the set up and also see if you would like to join them at there next event. As Darcee will be at the Fort Worth Food Park soon with her nails.

If you would like to see more pictures of the event Please check out my Facebook page at: http://www.Facebook.com/GlendaC2011

Do you need to be seen?

As a business owner and a blogger I know I do. So I am always on the lookout for new people to work with. Or ones I can refer to others as everyone either needs something or needs to be seen. Robin Fuller fulfills both these needs with her business Hot Iron Promotions. As she reaches out to Brick and Mortar businesses to have Direct Sellers come in and showcase there businesses. Plus she helps them be seen online as well.

So as a Blogger you might not think I can use her services but that is wrong as I also need to be seen. I need more followers so when I showcase someones business or do a review or giveaway People see what I am talking about.

So I was so glad when I was on Facebook and I saw her Small Business Event she put together at Alley Cats as I can take Charlie out there and he can play while I shop and meet local businesses. If you do not reach out and visit others events then your business will not grow so come on out and join us.

Also check out her website for upcoming events and see how you can have your business added to her site as I plan on having my blogs added to it.

If you have any questions about Robin or Hot Iron Promotions check with Tarrant County Coupon Sisters
as they recommend her and so does the manager at Alley Cats.

Girlfriends of Grace

Is a local networking group located in Fort Worth, Texas in Lake Worth at the Edge Coffe House. The meetings are ran by Vanessa and Leigh Ann Parker. I love that the meetings begin and end with a Prayer. I also like that they are not industry exclusive. It is also nice that they do not look at a "Blogger" like they care crazy when I show up at the meetings. So if you wish to build a local business Please check them out. The next meeting is this Thursday and I will be there.

Looking for something to do??

Then I would like to invite you out to my friend Jennifer's event today.

Thanks, Glenda, Charlie and David

Stop Bullying!!

Please help us out as "Bullying" can happen at any age.

I would like to share something that happened in Charlies classroom which will explain to you why I have joined in the Anti Bullying Crusade. If you have children anyone at any age can be bullied. It also happens to adults. I learned this when I attended this Crusade.

Charlies, first week of school was supposed to be exciting and nothing bad was supposed to happen. As he is only in kindergarten But that is not what happened. He came home the first week upset as it was the week my mom passed and we had to bury here. So one we got through that and Monday came around I helped him get ready for school. I left him there knowing he was going to have a great time. Only that is not the case. I picked him up and I could tell he was not himself. As we walked home he told me his friend Bradley stabbed another little boy in the leg with a fork. He asked me if that was going to happen to him. I told him I hoped not and we would Pray Bradley got the help he needed and that the little boy would be OK. Nighttime came and Charlie needed to go to sleep which he did. But he tossed and turned as he thought it would happen to him.

Now before I write this I do not want any child to get into trouble but I thought they would remove Bradley and get him some help but this was not the case. Which caused some of the kids to be scared to go to class. But Charlies teacher worked hard to get all the kids calmed down and to want to go to school. I did ask Charlie to talk to Bradley as none of the other children would and now they are best friends. I am not going to say Bradley will never does this again but what I am saying is this little boy needs love and we are going to see that he gets it.

Then a couple weeks later there was another incident in Charlies room where a little girl brings a pocket knife No one was hurt but it still scared the students. Plus this little girl did not get into trouble either. So each day when I wake my son up for school I just Pray he comes home safe.

So Please take the time and sign Abby's Pledge as both Charlie and I did and we have joined Mrs. Greenwood in her campaign and I am asking you to join us as well.

"I pledge to speak up when I see bullying and harassment.
I will notice and take action. I can make a difference."

Fort Worth Food Park Vendor

Today's Guest is James Blake. James is a Scensty Consultant. Only what you may not know about Scensty is that they are not only Candles and Warmers but there is two other companies with them. So if you are thinking about starting a home based business check into them.

They have Grace Adele which is purses and fashion items. I could spend all day on this site looking and shopping. http://scentsyfamily.com/en-us/scentsy-brands/grace-adele.aspx

I f my daughter or my mom was here I can tell you they both would have liked this purse. Plus so many others I found. For my sister it would be the Pearls as she would be able to wear them to church.

Check out this site of James and let me know what you like the most.

The second site is called Velata and I am in love with it. It is a company that offers chocolate. There is no way I could be in this business as Charlie and I would eat it all and not feel bad about it.

The last company of course is Scensty and we all know I love there candles and warmers and that I use them. I showcased some of the Halloween ones a week ago but did you know that is just the tip of the iceberg? There is so many you just need to check out the site to see them all. You will be amazed.

It Works is a Food Park Vendor

freedom.jpg

I started with It Works! Global (read as IWG), home of that CRAZY WRAP thing, in July of 2011 after getting a fancy detox wrap at an upscale salon, to the tune of $160. My results only lasted a few days (sad for that amount of money). I found IWG at a small networking event and decided to host a party. The results myself and my friends had that evening were AMAZING and I started my journey! My husband was over seas at the time. I did every party and event that I could get into big or small. Five short months later my husband came home...he studied our compensation plan and we decided he would stay here and not go back over seas. That February I promoted to the Diamond level (7 months in) average of $1,910 a month, April I attained the Double Diamond rank  with an average of $6,035 a month, and November I promoted to Triple Diamond rank with an average of $10,541 a month!. Please see the attached income earnings chart. My husband is also a Double Diamond distributor, retired from a 15 year aviation career on May 31, 2013 and together we make an average of  $16,000 a month! We are DEBT FREE and enjoy traveling for pleasure and training our team, keeping our children with us! They now have a FULL TIME mom and dad! We love having the ability to work where ever we are! This company has just entered the momentum phase and has yet to truly explode and THAT...is very, VERY EXCITING! Have YOU tried that crazy WRAP thing?

A Guest Speaker from the Fort Worth Food Park

Recipe for a Perfect To-Do Loaf
by Shelley Molitor

Ingredients:
One heaping Tablespoon of VISION
2 cups of MISSION
1 cup of PRIORITIES
2 teaspoons of GOALS
7 cups of TASKS, divided
One pinch each of HOPE, GOOD ATTITUDE, ACCOUNTABILITY, FUN, and REST

Method: This recipe will not turn out properly unless the tasks are divided, and every ingredient is handy. Substitutes such as ‘I don’t have enough time,’ ‘I’m too busy,’  and ‘I’m not good at that’ are proven to result in FRUSTRATION and FUSS. To learn how to divide TASKS effectively, download a 5-Minute Overwhelm Zapper right away at www.establishedways.com !

Prepare the first three ingredients in quantity so you will always have them handy. Check your stock frequently, and freshen if necessary. Have your family members help you make these ingredients so everyone will think it tastes good, and for variety.

Start early each day, or even the night before, and mix all the ingredients together. You will need to add the tasks in on a daily basis, and little by little. If you add them all at once first thing, you will not be able to enjoy the results due to fatigue, as mixing all tasks at once can be very taxing and will results in a very heavy loaf. If you let them rise all day, and occasionally even all week, you will achieve a lighter loaf. Bake in a hot oven 365 days a year. Serves the whole family.

It is common to find that you have plenty of TASKS, but are missing the other ingredients needed for this recipe, and most people try to make it without them, because these items must all be made custom-made for your family and from scratch in order for the recipe to work. People (like me) have stubbornly and repeatedly tried skipping the other ingredients, but the results are always a big mess!

Years ago, I tried this recipe repeatedly to no avail. I felt certain that if I could just get the TASKS all in one place that I could look at, that I could magically run around like a supermom until they were done, and still somehow be joyful, rested, and pleasant. Those efforts always ended in a mushy tearful mess. I found out that the missing ingredients help the dough rise slowly over time, and that the tasks mix well throughout the days and weeks when they are divided. My To-Do Loaves always taste good now. My family savors the flavor too, and thanks me for working so hard at getting it right. The hope and fun make it taste good even when it turns out lopsided ever so often.

What other ingredients do you think would make this recipe even more delectable?

Are you overwhelmed?

F.eeling
O.verwhelmed? How can I stay focused when I am so overwhelmed? How can I think clearly to get anything done? How can I communicate what needs to be done to others so they are aware of what needs to be done if not helpful? How can I feel rested and light in the midst of “busyness?”
Find out how  with a  simple two-step formula and an acronym you can use to zap overwhelm. Are you ready to reate laser focus without getting bogged down in “busy” work or emotional meltdowns?
Can you really just take two steps to be focused?
Yes! All you need to do is the following:
1. Clarify what needs to be done.
2. Undertake simple steps to do only what’s most important now!
As simple as this is, we often get “stuck,” don’t we?! Don’t we often feel like everything is wrong, so much is not done, we are a poor parent, everything is such a mess, or we have “a thousand things” to do? The KEY here is that is how we FEEL! Memorize this sentence to help you methodically treat your emotions as an obstacle which you can shatter by consciously choosing to use this two-step process:

C.larify what can’t wait NOW, and
U.ndertake
S.pecific, simple action steps to get JUST THOSE THINGS done!
It takes practice to make this process a habit. It also takes being good with the fact that you are deliberately choosing NOT to do some things, YET!  If you choose to take on this habit, you will soon zap that overwhelm and get a true sense of accomplishment.
Do this exercise to prepare for this habit: Lock yourself in the bathroom if you have to, and take five (actual) minutes to write everything that is pressing in your mind on a full-sized, blank piece of paper. Then choose nine things that will cause chaos if they are not done TODAY. Have fun choosing what NOT to do or get done, and in choosing free and cheap ways not to actually do everything yourself. You don’t HAVE to make homemade cake for the homeschool meetup, and your eight-year-old can run the vacuum before the guests arrive! Stop trying to have everything done at once, or hoping that it will all finally be finished! Neither of these will EVER happen, and that is not our goal in life.
Do you have that overwhelming list ready? Now, make a tic tac toe grid on a second sheet of paper, and fill in the nine vital things you have chosen for today. Then use the tic-tac-toe paper to COVER your first list, and use a magnet to put it up on your fridge. Put a highlighter and a pen or pencil in a ziploc bag and into the freezer so they won’t be lost while you work.
If you have older children or a spouse who is available at the moment and desperate for you not be overwhelmed, play tic-tac-toe together, seeing who can get three in a row done first. Otherwise, play with yourself, trying to only get three in a row, or a random set of three. Repeat until nine are finished, stop for the day, but put nine more on a tic-tac-toe grid for tomorrow. Yes, transfer any you didn’t get done, or repeat on the same day, just don’t overdo it.
When you go back to your original list, HIGHLIGHT everything you have gotten instead of crossing them out. Make what you’ve DONE stand out on the list! Do you find yourself having to highlight extra things that you “accidentally” got done while you were whittling away at the grid because you were inspired?! Do you see that you took what needed to be done and reduced it to a manageable amount? Do you see how emotion is what overwhelms, and not the sheer amount of work?
Celebrate what you are getting done, no matter how “small” that list of things may be. Know too, that the exercise of sitting down to list what’s overwhelming your mind may clue you into things you are not doing for yourself! You might just be thirsty, tired, hungry, or coming down with something. Not having established ways of caring for yourself and following your priorities are focus zappers and energy sappers. By choosing to start with fewer tasks, you zap overwhelm, increase focus, and actually get MORE done!

If you have found this game or these ideas helpful, visit www.establishedways.com for even more ideas, and leave a comment or question!
